for shared conversation and collective insight at a breakfast meeting on Wednesday, October 14, hosted by DWF in London.
As more women step into senior and global claims roles, many are navigating a familiar but often unspoken transition:
- strong technical confidence
- increasing leadership responsibility
- greater visibility and influence
- but limited space to pause, reflect, and recalibrate how they lead
This program will be led by Chloe Walton, Founder of The Connected Leaders. This second of a three-part series will feature:
Support, Sponsorship and Knowing Your Ask
"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?" — "That depends a good deal on where you want to get to."
Too many talented women wait to be told what's next in their career. This session flips that: get clear on where you want to get to, then work out what you actually need and who to ask. We'll cover:
- The difference between mentors, sponsors, coaches, allies and peers - and why women tend to be over-mentored and under-sponsored.
- Mapping your own support circle: who's in it, where the gaps are, and who gives you energy versus who drains it.
- How to shape an ask that's specific, clear and easy to say yes to.
- Leaving with one real ask, and the person you will make it to.
This is the final session of the series and builds on the spring and summer breakfasts but stands alone for anyone joining for the first time. We'll also take a few minutes at the end to hear what you'd want from the network next.
